Alannah Weston
Alannah Weston
Director

Alannah has worked at the intersection of business, sustainability and creativity for more than 20 years. She was Creative Director of Selfridges before becoming Chairman of Selfridges Group from 2019-2022. As a committed philanthropist, in addition to her role as Director of The Hilary and Galen Weston Foundation, she serves on the boards of the Garfield Weston Foundation, the Reta Lila Howard Foundation, the Reta Lila Weston Trust for Medical Research, and chairs The Galen and Hilary Weston Foundation in the UK. Alannah is also passionately committed to restoring a farm in Wales.

Galen Weston
Galen G. Weston
Director

Galen G. Weston is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of George Weston Limited and Chairman of Loblaw Companies Limited. Prior to joining Loblaw, he was an investment banking analyst for Salomon Brothers in the UK. Galen is also Chairman of President’s Choice Bank, Chairman of Wittington Investments, Limited and is the former Chair and trustee of Choice Properties Real Estate Investment Trust. Galen also serves as President of the Weston Family Foundation and is a Director on the board of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, where he is also the Vice Chair of the board’s Common Research and Development Committee.

Executive Director

Amy has more than 20 years of experience working for family foundations supporting social service, public policy, international development, and environmental organizations. She holds a BA in History from the University of Michigan and an MSc in Economic and Social History from Oxford University. Amy joined the HGWF in 2024 and also serves as Executive Director of the UK-based Galen and Hilary Weston Foundation.

Grants Coordinator

Jennifer has 15 years of experience in administration within various family offices. She joined the The Hilary and Galen Weston Foundation as a Grants Coordinator in early 2022, managing the administration of grants and payments for grantees. Additionally, she serves as an Executive Assistant to the Managing Director at the Wittington Family Office.

Teenu Sanjeevan
Neuroscience Director

As Neuroscience Director, Teenu oversees the neuroscience portfolios of The Hilary and Galen Weston Foundation in Canada and The Galen and Hilary Weston Foundation in the UK. Her responsibilities include program design and strategic development, grants and relationship management, and neuroscience-focused operations and communications. Prior to joining the foundations, Teenu was a Senior Program Manager at the Weston Family Foundation where she was responsible for managing the foundation’s neuroscience programs.

Michele Whitcombe
Michele Whitcombe
Manager of Grants and Operations

Michele joined The Hilary and Galen Weston Foundation in 2024 and oversees its grants management, operations, and communications. Prior to joining the Foundation, Michele was a Coordinator at the Weston Family Foundation managing a portfolio of grants and supporting the Foundation’s governance needs. Michele holds a BComm from Queen’s University’s Smith School of Business and an MA in Arts and Cultural Management from King’s College London.
